2009-04-08 [~noctis lingua~]: Personally, I think the manga is better in most cases. Much anime is just a screen adaptation of the anime, which usually turns out less than satisfactory. It is the same with screen adaptations of books. I think that as long as the manga was made first, it must be read to know the truth of a series.

Anyway, Japanese and Italian are both on my list of languages to learn before I die.

It's shonen, because it was made to entertain boys. However, that doesn't mean that some girls don't enjoy hentai. I've wondered if yaoi is technically shojo, though, because mostly girls like it.

It has a bit of drama, but there are lots of fights, and a wonderful plot. Also, I might suggest Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, and Ghost in the Shell: SAC 2nd Gig. And also Trigun. *laughs* Okay, so, maybe my opinion is biased. I also enjoyed Yu Yu Hakusho, Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, Peacemaker, Tokko, Bleach, and Blood+. Blood+ had a very good plot, in my opinion.
